What is Health Access Initiative?

Health Access Initiative is a physician-driven project of the Hall County Medical Society that seeks to improve access to medical care for Hall County's uninsured adults.

Health Access Initiative is not a direct healthcare provider.  Instead, HAI works to connect patients who qualify with physicians and other caregivers in the network who will see patients.  HAI also assists in coordinating diagnostic testing, medications, etc. that are required to carry out a physicians care plan.  HAI allows working people in Hall County who make too much to qualify for Medicaid (but who cannot afford medical insurance or medical care) to receive the medical attention they need.  Health Access Initiative is a

Health Access Initiative offers a medication assistance program so that patients can receive the medications they need.  This is a critical component of the Initiative, because patients who cannot afford to pay their doctors usually cannot afford to fill their prescriptions.
